Panasonic 3260 Proline Professional Video Camera (1989)

Post by Hornraider »

Hi Everyone - begging some patience with the following question as I am very rookie when it comes to camera topics. My Son earned enough money to buy a used Panasonic WV-3260 Proline Professional Video Camera. He has a passion for filmshooting, and already has a newer mini-camcorder but convinced me this camera was differnent. The camera is 1989 technology, and I realize it isn't a "camcorder", given it requires an external source for recording. My question is pretty basic, just wanted to get any/all feedback on whether this is a good camera and if there are any "gotchyas" that we may not be considering. For what it's worth we paid less than $100 for the camera and it is very lightly used, still with the original box / manuals. Also - what would be a good source / output to connect for recording....an external hard drive, DVD Recorder?? We would prefer not to look at VHS Tape technology. :)
