Both of the models are about the same size.

I have built an intervalometer. I havn't quite got it working yet, but it's not far off. It's approximate but quite accurate. I guess if I was to make a scale for the potentiometer it could be quite precise. It's built from a simple 555 circuit, a relay and the Canon remote cable.

Not too many features but enough to get some time lapse photography done.

ran about $20 - $30 NZD.

Excellent work Janne.

I respect the fact that you are keeping Super 8 filmmakers informed of your intravolmeter work

Are you aware of the pin configuration for the Leicina models, i.e. Super, RT1 or Special?

I am primarly interested in the time exposure settings which work in 2 modes, i.e.

1. Manual : depress to open = approx. 0.5 sec /open shutter=x secs or minutes /depress to close = approx. 0.5 sec/.

2. Leiciana ST1 Intravalometer: one can automatically set the the open shutter timing mode fro 0.5 to 360 sec but heres the thing....you cannot vary the inbetween timing between frames whilst opening and closing the shutter.

Lets say you set the auto shutter opening to 5 sec. Well the way the relay works (1972 electronics) is that the interval between open and closing events is duplicated. It is also = 5 secs, i.e.

open--5s time exp--close--5s--open--5s time exp--close--5s--open--

Thanks again for your work.

Yes, I found the user's manual. Seems to be a proprietary connector. It could be possible to connect the wires some other way.

There is also a frame counter that can be connected to the intervalometers. It counts frames, time, and frames per second. The time and frame info can be stored and recall when you continue shooting later.

I would love to have one for my Bolex H-16 EL since it has single frame mode. Please let us have a link to the purchase web site when it's available.
