Oh, there is one thing that confuses me about this project, Andreas. I noticed that in the rules laid out by yourself, particpants were allowed to film both time lapse and stop motion animation. So I have a question, is the final film intended to be a fiction film or non-fiction?

Personally, I would like some sort of introduction prior to the footage, either in text or narration. This could basically sum up the basic concept of the film. Additionally, it could reveal a few brief details about the number of countires and contributors involved. I think this should be kept brie...

Good work, Tod. Those are good stills too. By sheer coincidence, here in South Australia, I filmed within the interior of the Adelaide Railway Station which is in fact very similar to New York's Grand Central Station. Both are grand buildings that share beautiful classical architecture. The one in A...

With approximately forty people contributing to the project, we would have over 80 minutes of footage. If worse comes to worse, we could send over three mini-dv tapes. One tape could contain the final edited film and the other two tapes could contain the unedited footage.

Andreas, I assume the basic plan still remains to send you a total of two Mini-Dv tapes or alternatively one VHS tape. As I have never used Mini-Dv equipment, I have a question. Is one Mini-Dv tape sufficient to store all of the unedited footage for this project?

Ive used 16mm B&W film that was at least 15 years old and it turned out fine. Great thing is Ive got about 8 of these films (all the same age) which I picked up from a market for $2 each.

Todd, Im glad it was sunny in New York. Here in South Australia, it was originally forcast as sunny and clear for May 17. I was extremely pleased with this as I have had specific plans to do some time lapse work of shadows. One example in mind is shadows sweeping over our local museum, a rather gran...
