Re: The Film Group Pilotone to Digital Converter
You can resolve audio with different techniques. Your problem is resolving video. The problem with video is that it may NOT be running at exactly 24 FPS. It may vary up and down. Notice that text states 'unit is designed to accept 24 FPS switch closures.' The problem is that you are NOT assured of ...

Re: The Film Group Pilotone to Digital Converter
What I think to do is attached. But I have no idea about the resolving process... "The unit is designed to accept 24fps switch closures, such as is provided by the camera's PC flash socket, and convert them into a steady 60hz. pilotone sync signal in perfect phase with the camera's running spee...

Persuading the film manufacturers for Sound Super 8?
Super 8 is alive, OK, I know today's technology offers good solutions for double-system sound, but what about re-manufacturing of Super 8 Sound cartridges, etc.? We all have paid many bucks for our sound cameras in heydays. Now they are selling at bloody cheap prices on auction sites... Well, we can...

The Film Group Pilotone to Digital Converter
Does anyone have experiment with the Pilotone to Digital Converter ? Using camera's PC socket and stereo tape recorder's one channel for pulse (pilot) recording. I have a Nikon R10 offering a PC (Flash) terminal. I also have a SONY TC-D5 PROII offering two XLR (L/R) inputs. I want to make double-sy...

Re: THE NIKON R10/8 DOUBLE REGISTRATION S8 CAMERA
An 2002 thread and still people don't understand how things work :) The R10/R8 have one claw to advance the film and there are two stop-pins which alternately are switched in for forward or reverse direction. The stop-pin has a ramp-shape and moves like a wood-pecker. The stop-pin hammers onto the ...

Re: [REQ] eumig Sound 128 XL manual
Does anybody have the instruction manual of eumig Sound 128 XL in English? Please share with us... Thank you so much! I do not have that particular manual, but the 125XL and 128XL Sound are easy to use without a manual unless you want to use the list of macro depth of field associated with the lens...

Re: THE NIKON R10/8 DOUBLE REGISTRATION S8 CAMERA
Double registration or double claw system is wrong usage for Nikon R8/10. I have an R10. The upper acts as pull-down claw while the lower as registration pin. This is designed to overcome the Super 8 cartridge limitation for image steadiness (plastic pressure pad located in the cartridge). If you wa...
