Re: Changing drive belt in Eumig 605D projector

Looking at the design of some projectors... you get the impression that how the belt was to be eventually replaced, just was taken into
account in the original blue print.

Re: Ferrania hope to start film manufacture in 2014

Back in 1966 , I used Ferrania 8mm film from my local drug store. The film was unimpressive in color and grain, but I can attest that it still plays well with no color fading.

Re: Your Agfa 200D results

Of course, there would of been a period of time when both formats existed in silent cartridges as the ELA stock was gradually sold off. Some silent super 8 cameras had to have the Type A filter manually set, so I think Kodak marketed type G for all the people who forgot to set this filter, since Typ...

Re: Your Agfa 200D results

I dug up an old 1978 catalog from Solar, one of the largest movie film suppliers at the time. Type G was the only Super 8 SILENT 160 film available. But oddly, not available in sound cartridges, ELA was the only 160 Super 8 SOUND film available. At the time I shot only silent. Two different 160 emul...

Re: Your Agfa 200D results

I remember the original kodak 160 super 8 was ELA (I think). This was beautiful film with reasonable fine grain. Later they replaced with type G 160 around 1975 , this was grainy and was big step down for 160 film. What was Kodak thinking?

Re: 1958 8mm Film Saga

I remember reading about 5 years ago, of someone who bought an old ancient film can on Ebay for approx. $5., I believe in the UK. It turned out, it contained an early lost Charlie Chaplin movie, apparently the only print still in existence, I believe he sold it for 1.3 million. I hope the home movie...

Re: Making money from youtube? Hmmm....

There are people making big money on youtube....but they are getting hits in the millions. What is incredible to me is how terribly boring, I find some of these videos are.....of course, entertainment is subjective , so apparently, someone likes them. Some people have made a mucho dollars just with ...

Re: Has anyone tested Retro-8 from MovieStuff yet?

Tscan.... then send a dvd or blue ray dub to Roger so he can use as samplers.
Again, I would never consider purchase of this unit unless I could see a dvd on wide screen panel.
