Electronic viewfinder the cheap way
Hi! Attaching an iPhone 7 to a Meopta A8L2 Supra with a cheap Chinese „camera adapter“ (4,99€ including shipping)? Works! Unfortunately, the Meopta‘s viewfinder is "too slippery" and "nearly too tiny". That's because its diameter is close to the lower end of the adapter's capabil...

Re: Replacement eyecup for the Elmo Super 103T
Diameter of the hole in the middle is approximately 19mm. The outer diameter of the eyecup is 45mm. The eyecup protrudes the camera by 13mm.

Replacement eyecup for the Elmo Super 103T
Hi! My Elmo Super 103T came with the optional eyecup holder. But the rubber eyecup itself was missing. But guess what: the cheap Chinese replacements for the Nikon DK-19 are perfectly fitting onto the holder. And they only cost 3,51€ including shipping! You only have the remove a semi-circle of rubb...

Re: Iscomorphot S8 / 2x
Hi! Theoretically, you could use all anamorphic lenses for both filming and projecting. However, not all anamorphics are equally suited (minimum distance for focusing, bulkiness, weight, form factor, ...). E.g. this Iscomorphot isn’t the best for filming. If you would like to have a 2x anamorphic le...

Re: Interesting article on lenses
Back in the 70s, nobody used the tele-lens to film birds. However, only Isco was honest enough to show the real use-case on their boxes... :D BDDBB617-0DB3-4E0A-B696-D8F2EA3DFC29.jpeg Once again: using defect or vintage lenses is only for shooters of digital video that are bored by their „too clean“...

Re: Super8 sound projector with sound adjustment
You should also check the filmpath - there might some dirt that turned to stone (after reacting with some grease). Or some rubber wheels that became brittle. Or some gears/wheels that would need some fresh oil/grease. You might even find a few frames from a film of the previous owner.

Re: Super8 sound projector with sound adjustment
As for the threading problem: maybe you’ll have to press a special button during threading? (Normally on top of the projector, close to the supply reel.) I also noticed that some projectors became a little bit „stubborn“ in their old days. E.g. when using my Bauer T610, I cannot use hama-leaders. (T...

Re: Replacing foam in camera bag?
Just scratching it with my fingernails - and it crumbled to dust faster than a vampire in sunlight.
Using a brush and a vacuum cleaner, I was able to remove the foam.

Re: Replacing foam in camera bag?
The „NOS“ bag and a look at the black foam on its bottom. Only storing a 4008 in this bag for two months caused additional damage to the foam. So today, I’m going to tear it out...

Squeezed Reels?
Hi! Today, I was tinkering around with a projector that I’ve bought recently. I noticed that the „take up“ didn’t work properly. But after a short examination, I noticed that the problem was not caused by the projector, but by the reel: 0400CA75-90F8-470D-948A-5282647AA128.jpeg It’s hard to see on t...
