They are not manufacturing the acetate for their films. Instead they will buy it from external sources, which nowadays sounds quite logical from any point of view even more when Kodak is now focusing it's activity on certain areas and leaving others. The Velvia 50D is traditionally better exposed as 25-33 ASA rather than 50.

I lubricated My B8 some years ago but didn't disasemble the spring. There are youtube videos on how to oil a B8 without doing it although I suppose the spring may need some kind of lube as well.

Most Super8 cameras disengage automatically the internal filter when inserting a "D" type cartridge, no matter what is indicated manually in the external switch. Don't know about the Sankyos

Your Bolex 8 mm cameras are very well designed and proved for 50 years, so don't worry
