Re: Also rans

Imagine your favorite movie with a different star. Here are some also rans in no particular order. Superman - the title role was actually offered to Robert Redford before newcomer Christopher Reeve was cast. Sylvester Stallone wanted the part. Keenan Wynn was cast as Perry White but had to be repla...

Re: PTC 1. The next step.

Re: PTC 2 Coming

OK, heres part 2 of PTC 2. Also, the quality of the AVI is a lot better than this Youtuber. Id love to be able to credit every shooter by name and location too. For this one I used the information as supplied. Good job! Great music choices. Really went well with the images. I loved the music you pi...

Re: PTC 1. The next step.

I'm planning a trip to the UK in two years. Perhaps I'll stop by and ask him for the carts -- SINCE I'M SURE HE'LL STILL HAVE THEM.

Re: PTC 2 Coming

Last night I uploaded the first part of PTC 2 to Youtube. This is a rough and nothing is final at this point. I had to cut it in half bcuz the tube doesnt allow vids over 10 minutes evidently. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8z1N9VJgg2Q Quite a few filmmakers didnt slate so I dont know the credit in...

Re: PTC 1. The next step.

I have no email for him but I do get announcements when he posts pics at his Flicker account, so I've gone over there and made comments on his posted pictures (to add insult to injury he has a pic posted there of all the PTC material--so frustrating) Tim And I'm sure you've left some interesting co...

Cinematographers who can ski...

I met a guy at a party a couple of weeks ago who is financing a video about skiing in South America. He is looking for cameramen who can ski. If anyone is seriously interested in this paid gig please PM me directly and I'll put you in contact with him.

Re: Does anybody regret E-64T?

I'll miss the ugliness of both Kodak's 7240 and 64T. I found both stocks foul - but in a good, retro kind of way. The 100D is an excellent stock but I can see how people wanting to shoot Tungsten might be upset. Btw, I shot some of the Fuji 64T in 2005-06 that was packaged for Spectra briefly if any...

Re: soon: Ektachrome 100 D by Kodak from Kodak in Super-8

It is too bad about Plus-X. Damn, that was a beautiful film stock. I shot my short, "Ennui" with that. Well at least we still have Tri-X. And, damn, I'm happy about the 100D. Excellent stock. No tears will be shed from me over the 64T...

No response. I can only imagine that he's overwhelmed with work. I wrote two articles for this issue but I completely forgot about it, it's been so long!
