Re: Leicina Special Repair

Hi Nikonr10, I made a mistake when I wrote that earlier. I bought it on ebay.de and had it shipped to Ekhard along with another Leicina Special which I bought on ebay.de. He worked diligently on them, even locating a difficult-to-find motor, and shipped them to me in the US. When I made test films, ...

Re: Leicina Special Repair

Well, I've sent the camera to Duall in NYC. Fingers crossed. I looked back at my old email and Eckhard did service this camera for me. I bought it on Ebay.de and had it shipped directly to me. It seems like he had all the issues resolved before he shipped it, but the meter didn't work when I got it....

Re: Leicina Special Repair

After further consideration, I guess I'd be willing to send it overseas. My luck with Bernie hasn't been great.

Thanks!

Leicina Special Repair

Hello! I have a Leicina Special which was working 2 years ago, albeit with a non-working exposure meter. I sent it to a repair place on the west coast. Just got it back. No repair completed and now not working at all. Bummer. Does anyone know of someone in the states who is particularly skilled at r...

Re: Nikon R8 R10 Eyecups Available New - Sort Of

Interesting about the eyecup source. Thanks. At least they're not from Calkovsky. I don't mind supporting Bolex for a few extra dollars. I'll put the adapter on ebay with a 2-3 week lead time. Actual turnaround will be about that for the first reorder. I'm going to have to price them at $45 because ...

Re: Nikon R8 R10 Eyecups Available New - Sort Of

I just bought one from Jesse last week. Item 265660 on http://www.chamblesscineequip.com/catalog/catalog.htm -> misc bolex camera accessories -> "black elliptical rubber eyepiece" Turns out I paid $40, not $25. I mixed up shipping cost for an EL with the price of the eyecup. Odd, his catal...

Nikon R8 R10 Eyecups Available New - Sort Of

I had a custom adapter made to allow Bolex eyecups to be used on Nikon R8 and R10 cameras. They cost me about $40 and an eyecup is $25 from Chambless Cine. Would anyone out there be interested in one of these? If so, I'll order a handful from the machine shop and put them on Ebay. https://www.youtub...

Re: Super 16 Projector Conversion

Hi freedom4kids, I'm just having fun with 16mm. My skill level is not particularly high. Here are some samples: B&H 200 / Fuji Eterna 250D / HD scan. Camera carried from Santa Monica to Chicago on a bicycle: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6aGHEzuNSbE The 200 is a low-quality camera, but it is ex...

Re: Super 16 Projector Conversion

Hi Roger,

The distance from my projector to the screen in my current viewing room is only 10-12', so I do need a shorter lens. That is part of the reason for my desire to have the optics centered.

Thanks

(edit: sorry for duplicate post, i'm being moderated and i forgot that i had replied)

Re: Super 16 Projector Conversion

Hi,

The distance from projector to screen is about 10', so a wider lens is necessary, yes.

Thanks
