I had good results with a post process treatment with Farmer reducer. I use the Tetenal, just few seconds, it gives bright lights, increases (a little) the contrast. You can use it also only with single scenes. It really can make miracles. Suggested

I find also the inner 85 filter can give good results, as well.
With many camera you must create a filter notch on the cartridge, by simply breaking the plastic.
Check if your camera exposes correctly (because of notching matters).

no, I'm not confusing: I use fomapapan (and process it myself) in reg8mm all the time. I just say that I find that the base is fragile, but can be used with great satisfaction. Just use it in good working order projectors and it'll be ok. Of course if you 'll telecine the problem there isn't any pro...

I think the main drawback of fomapan is the base. I find it very fragile
