Re: 8mm camera

No.
(The 40 ASA remains 40 ASA despite the orange filter - that is unless that B&H camera is very old one with a separate "Electric Eye" and the filter only covers the EE.)

Re: Old Fujica R25 film

Thanks. (I'm really interested in the price as I haven't shot the Fujichromes R25 that came with one of my cameras as they were "to be shot before 1996" - or was it 1994?)

Maybe one was the older version for the K11-process, while the other one was the successor for the SK91-process?!

Re: Ferrania hope to start film manufacture in 2014

It sounds like Ferrania had some problems recently. Hence the writer of this text says that he doesn't expect the slide-film (ferrania's first product) before the end of 2014. He even expects further delays: http://www.aphog.de/forum/viewtopic.php?f=79&t=25832&p=272643&hilit=Ferrania#p27...

Re: Old Fujica R25 film

Hi aj, yes, it's 25€ (without reel, taxes and postal charges) at super8.nl. But to me it's unclear whether it's 2625 yen (approx. 19€) or 5000 yen (approx. 36€) at Retro8 (and AFAIK these are only the prices for shipping in Japan). So it basically depends on your shipping costs to...

Re: Mirachrome from the early 60's

Hi, it looks like Mirachrome was a film for the Kodachrome-process (either K11 or SK91): http://www.photography-forums.com/anybody-ever-heard-dynachrome-t81442.html From 1959 on, Dynacolor Corp. manufactured Dynachrome as Kodachrome clone, initially for the Kodachrome K11 process, later, as Kodachro...

Re: Old Fujica R25 film

When you're in the EU, you could also try http://super8.nl/ . AFAIK Frank Bruinsma processes the R25 (even though he doesn't process the R25N) and can also return the empty cartridge...

Re: Old Fujica R25 film

AFAIK all Fujichromes (R25, R25N, RT50, RT200, RT200N) do have a remjet: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Single-8#Processing_Single-8_Film BTW: I've had several outdated R25/R25Ns processed by both Fuji and Retro8. (Films had to processed 5 to 12 years earlier according to the date on the packing) Due ...

Re: Would you still buy new commercial super 8 prints?

The 200€ might include more than just the taxes: E.g. the last time I had to pick up something at the custom's post office, it took me 4 hours (1h ride to the custom's office, 2h waiting, filling out a bunch of forms, paying, and 1h back home).

Re: 1014E History Inquiry

The protagonist needs to operate a Super 8 camera that was available in 1975 but purchased in an earlier year. (I also own a 1014E). It should work: 135022 CANON 8MM MOVIE CAMERAS AND PROJECTORS BROCHURE, 1974 , LOOKS EX $15.00 (The linked photo IMHO shows Canon 814E and 1014E) 126937 CANON AUTOZOO...

Re: Would you still buy new commercial super 8 prints?

Your only option would be to shoot black & white and have it developed as negative, then the same for the print. Wrong. Andec can process Super8-colour-negatives (e.g. Kodak Vision3 50D) and can do great prints (on Super8-colour-print-stock). The only drawback is the soundtrack: As andec prints...

Re: 1014E History Inquiry

Sounds like you're going to fake a camera's history for eBay: "I bought this camera in a high-quality camera shop in 1975..."

Canon says that the camera was marketed in April 1973: http://www.canon.com/camera-museum/camera/cine/data/1971-1982/1973_auto1014.html?lang=us&categ=crn&page=1971-1982 Super8data also says "marketed in April 1973": http://super8data.com/database/cameras_list/cameras_canon/canon_10...

Re: Canon 310xl questions

Hi,

a manual can be downloaded here:

Most likely you'll have to clean the battery-compartment...
