Hi Jam, a)The old Fuji R25 & RT200 usually turnout over-exposure, I sugguest not to use them anymore, though we can process it at 1870yen/roll, takes 10 days in tokyo. b) Most of the film came with camera are in bad condition (never stored in fridge), so do not expect the color come out normaly ...

Strange film damage

Hi, I just purchased a super8-film on ebay: a 33m short of the "battle of midway" - distributed by Revue (German and French Titles), Orwo b&w, no sound stripe. (I just needed a starting airplane from WWII to cut it into another film) Since the most damage is normally found on the first...

Another good question: Will the 64T-Super8-cartridges really be filled with Kodak-material
or with this one?

Some stupid Single8 questions

Hi, my Single8-camera finally arrived. It came with some old R25 and R200 cartridges (with "process before 1981" or "...1986" marks). a) Can those films still be processed by Fuji?!?! (Those films are the old ones - not the actual R25N and R200N.) b) Does it make se...

Reloadable Super8-cartridges

Hi! How many kinds of reloadable Super8-cartridges are there? Until now I've only seen the reloadable 15m/50ft. silent cartridges from Kahl and from Russia and those Beaulieu- and SuperMag-drives that could be used for both silent and sound film, but don't fit onto any of my cameras. But I haven't s...

AFAIK the b&w-films tell the camera that the filter "is useless". Hence 99% of all cameras won't use the filter even if you tell them to do so!

Re: Plus-X in 40/160 cams

I'd like to shoot some Plus-X in my Canon AF310XL. I've successfully shot Tri-X with it already, where it exposes at 160 with no problems. I switch the filter out for this. With the filter switched in - it's manual, so no problems here - it rates films at 100, so I assume this makes it suitable for...

What is the actual quality of the PCM-recording of those Hi-MD-recorders? Sony says: LinearPCM/1.4Mbps This sounds like the CD-format to me: 44.1kHz; 16 bit; 2 channels Some other portable digital recorders (data found on the internet and hence might not be 100% correct): DAT-recorders allow a maxim...

Hi, the features of the new Hi-MD sound very nice... but I would need a device that could record at least three tracks: Two for the stereo-sound and one for recording the sync-signal from my camera. Until now I've only found tape-recorders that could do this (since I don't want to carry around my la...

Hi, I didn't have any problems with the Kodachrome 40 or any 100-400 ASA colour-foto-film in my luggage - the results have been as "not x-rayed". The only reports I've heard about "black films because of the radiation" involved either infrared-, b&w- or highspeed (1000ASA and...

And heres an email I received this morning from Andec: Dear Andec Customers.... Thanks. That's both good and bad news: Good since I'll give at least one 64T a try in my Nizo 4056; bad since I'm wanted to shoot one or two rolls or negative film in late August/early September for some "special e...

To return to the main subject, the 64T: I do have mixed feelings about this new film: Pro: yesss, finally a modern emulsion for super8! yesss, the film has got a higher ASA-rating than 40! yesss, finally a super8-film from Kodak that can be developped by everyone with a darkroom and those russian de...
