That is how mine looks when the projector gate gets really dirty. Try cleaning around the projector gate with a wooden match. You can do this with the camera too. Don't push the match too far through the gate hole especially with the camera as you could damage something. Just give both the camera an...

Fuji's is nowhere near as good as the polaroid's film, but at least there is and alternative. Also beware that Fuji's 100 film does not work very well in Polaroid's 100 Land Cameras. I use a Polaroid 450 and every pack of Fuji I have tried jammed! I've used Fuji's FP 100 B GLOSSY, FP 100 C GLOSSY an...

Thanks for the info! I'm looking into the $200 camera from Mightex (as above) but there are a few things I still don't really understand. I tried to read up on things like, SRNs and Rolling Shutters online but found good info hard to find (and understand). Like the rolling shutter, what problems can...

Has anyone looked into the little machine vision type cameras that are used on microscopes and telescopes like this one? http://www.mightex.com/images/enclosed_camera_4web.jpg Priced at $199US, it can produce a maximum image size of 1280x1025 at 20fps, has a c or cs mount and has a trigger mode for ...

Telecine camera and lens option
I've been looking into a new camera (upgrading to machine vision) for my telecine set up for a while, but now my current camera, a Canon MV200, has died...... My maximum budget is £500 (that 660euros or $980 US). Hopefully I can get a camera and lens within this budget (maybe even Cinecap too). I...

I guess it is up to personal preference. I prefer non blended for film shot at 18fps, for PAL. (I've never used an NTSC system). I have found that many people in North America prefer blended for film shot at 18fps for NTSC. Maybe it is something to do with the 18fps converted to 30fps (NTSC) compare...

Hello, As far as I'm aware it will not fit at 4008. You can buy a grip extension here- http://www.ijmincorporated.com/equipment.html I'm looking to get a grip extension myself, I don't like the look of the one from IJM INCORPORATED. I have seen, in the passed, a more square looking one that has or c...

The telecine looks good for an 'off the wall' transfer', I've seen alot worse! But there is room for improvement, it's a good tip from Rollef about turing the stabilazor off. The footage definitely is not over exposed by 2 stops, I agree with Richard its probably just seeing it as 40asa rather than ...

Nice the see footage shot on a Nizo 561, that is the same camera I use. The music works well with the footage. I don't think I have ever used the B setting on my Nizo 561, although I have used it on my Eumig 860. I'm just getting into shooting at night myself only done a few tests so far, so your fo...

Loved the film, the pacing was great. I'd love to see it as a full length feature that works that well. The first 2m10s (Born To Be Wild) looked like a great place to have opening credits for a feature film. Loved the music that kicked in at 3m20s, it reminded me of the music from the great zombie f...

I guess for me price is the main issue, and at $700 seems like a good price (but it is the very most I would consider paying for it). I don't shoot a lot of 16mm, but if I had a k3 with electric motor..... Maybe you could offer a package with a super 16 gate too. The link you sent about the super 16...

Do you already have a mini disc or are you going to buy one? I use a Zoom H4 for recording sound, but have previously just plugged a shotgun/boom mic into a DV camera to record the sound while shooting film. (I've also used a hi8 camera for sound only on a film shoot. It turned out a lot better than...

I think the hardest thing (from what I've heard) is finding the correct plug to use to attach the power pack to the camera, I dont know why. Or what conector plug is that the ST uses. You can buy power packs at- http://www.filmcamerakit.com/html/batteries.htm Not sure if the ST uses a 4pin XLR or if...
