Plastik, don't take this personally, but I would be leery of adding graphics to the piece. I don't really see how it could help, however I do see how it could convolute the feel of the film. Maybe a sort of title sequence or credits... still should be very understated and used with discretion.

I third that, I've loaded many a tri-x in filmos and bolex. I always try to load it in as little of light as possible. Usually a shaded lamp with my back to it, under a blanket, what have you... gerneally 1/2 to 3/4 of a foot may be fogged.

What does everyone think sufficent "thaw" time would be for freezer and fridge? Soon I will be getting a large stock of super 8 and 16mm. I'm thinking of putting it all in the freezer in zip-locks and putting the rolls/carts I need for the next week in the fridge. Is this pointless?

Nizo Professional Manual?

I just purchased this camera, and I wanted to salivate over the manual while in transit from (where else) germany. Can't seem to find a (english!) version of the manual. any one know?

I wasn't envolved in last years project, so I don't expect my vote to count. But I'll put in my 2 cents anyway. I like "One Day in Eight", or "A Day in Eight", maybe just "Day in Eight".

Looking forward to this years shoot! :D

I know what your saying, Astro. I instruct a few classes at DFC, http://www.detroitfilm.org and the demographics of people registering for classes says it all. The film classes are always hard to fill. Sometimes they have to be delayed or cancelled until enough people are interested. I think Experim...

The anti-camera mindset that exists around active railroads these days makes filming at the museums a much happier alternative i bet! i shoot a lot of footage in and around the Detroit People Mover, and catch s@#t from people all the time. and the funny thing is i usually don't even want anyone in ...

What type of stereoscopic film are you planning to make. There is a bottom line with 3D in that the viewer has to wear some kind of glasses unless you have access to Imax technology I may be wrong, but as i understand it, there is another way that doesn't require 3D glasses, and which is the way i'...
