Re: 16:9 UltraPan8 and Super8, and cost per frame

I'm not too familiar with UP8, but we shot approx 18,000 feet of Super8 and scanned to HD and enlarged to 16:9. We've been very happy with the look and the HD holds up very well in theatrical exhibition. We originally were going to shoot in digital but chose Super 8mm after seeing The National's &qu...

Re: What word says what a colourist does?

Agreed. Our Color Grader in Seattle Eric Rosen of Lightpress did our Super 8mm scans as well as DaVinci color grading. I highly recommend him. I posted several screenshots on this Filmshooting thread. http://www.filmshooting.com/scripts/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=22930 Best, Zack I Am ZoZo - the ...

[quote="Lunar07"]Very nice looking footage. I'd love to see the whole thing. I like that you shot with aspect 4:3 and footage was blown up to 16:9. I take it that you framed for 16:9 while shooting? Was this a crystal synched <a href="http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trks...
