Re: Bolex Malfunction?
Hiya, this happened to me a few years ago after i dropped the camera a few feet onto grass. Think you'll find the claw is missing the perfs. Another issue could be the quality of the perfs on the film? Have you exposed any DS8 100D? From experiance over the years, kodaks QC is top notch, if 100d tra...

Re: damaged LEICINA 8mm battery holder
Hiya, I'm pretty sure i have one or two battery holders in me toybox at work. My leicina 8s expired with the end of kodachrome in 2010. Make sure, if you can, the lightmeter battery compartment is clean, people tend to leave the 1.35v cell inside and they rot too. Also if you purchase the camera you...

Re: Bad experiences with Pro8mm
Although I cannot comment on Pro8's services, i can say that Andec to are prone to 'screwing film' aswell. I've experianced 3 lots of bad processing within 18 months. The last batch they screwed was the last straw for me, now all my super 8 goes to the USA for processing.

Re: Bolex P4 light meter
you can purchase a dummy battery which reduces the voltage to the cameras lightmeter http://www.smallbattery.company.org.uk/sbc_mercury_catalogue.htm The adapters are quite pricey but allows you to use 1.5v batterys without risk of damage to the cameras lightmeter circuit. If the camera test film is...

Re: arri 16 sb viewfinder problem
Hiya, some early STs veiwfinders did tend to go yellow, i cannot recall the SN of my first yellow viewfinder st, but my later two cameras sn 14xxx and 15xxx were fine. Its a long time ago, i think the use of primes on the 'yellow' st were difficult to focus but the zeiss t3 10-100 was ok by zooming ...

Re: regular 8 TRI-X
what we'll loose once kodaks pulls the plug on 8mm film is the quality of the perforations. I have used both 8mm and ds8 film perfed by a third party, the quality control i have found was not to the standard of genuine kodak perfed film stock, thus image steadiness suffered. I now only buy kodak per...

Re: I just ordered two rolls of Double Super 8 E100D
DS8 was discontinued last year by kodak. They made one last run, just like they are doing with tri-x. viewtopic.php?f=1&t=22514&p=200807#p200807Ektagraphic wrote:Awesome!...It seems sort of strange to me 8mm Tri-X would get discontinued before DS8 film....

Re: regular 8 TRI-X
I think I am slightly confused. Is Kodak discontinuing the stock or just the format of the 8mm perforations? Could the 8mm always be special ordered if the film stock is till available? I think you'll find they're axing the format, and very soon other guages will follow!. My feeling is 100d in the ...

Re: Double Super 8 Film Stock
I doubt we'll see anymore DS8 100d from kodak they made one final batch last year. GK/Wittner velvia DS8 was very jittery, the GK offing almost jammed up my DS8 camera, all 200ft of GK DS8 50D ended up in the bin, the transportation was that bad!. I just hope Wittner are able to source larger rolls ...
