Ive shot loads of tri-x in a 814 xls without making any adjustments - comes out fine, just put the cartridge in and shoot. Sometimes I use an orange filter on the front of the lens but that is about it.

Hmmmm, a purveyor of genital enhancers. Interesting. There is a technical term widely in use in Essex, I believe, which accurately describes our friend. It begins with W and rhymes with anchor. Btw - I took at look at his films - now I am really not a film critic, and far be it from me to cast judge...

Re: Curious about Single 8 News

Also, one last thing--why the qualifier that the carts will be "all notched correctly to work with all cameras 'including the AX100'?" What's special or problematic about the AX100? I have one that I've yet to use and am just curious about its unique characteristics. Tim http://www.filmsh...

I've shot a roll of RT200N but (for filming close to the surface, at least) there may be too much light (on a sunny caribbean day).. haven't had that roll developed yet so I'll let you know how it turns out when it comes back from Japan. My AX100 came with a 85A filter screwed on the lens, so I just...

The silicon grease just helps protect the o-ring - you use it sparingly before going in the water (I suppose applying it also makes you check the ring & seat are clean etc) Here is a useful article about camera/housing care: http://www.divernet.com/photog/care599.htm I always check the (empty) h...

Silicon grease for when you use it - available from your local dive store (& widely available online). Used my AX100 today off seven mile beach here in cayman - shot loads of coral, blue tang, sergeant majors (aka cayman pirhana...boy they won't leave you alone), yellow tail snapper. So I was sw...

I'll buy it off you for 50p ;-) But just how does it work?!?- or does the 155 have a real single frame trigger? Mark It mounts under the lens - it works basically by whacking the trigger for a sufficiently brief period of time for the film to advance just one frame - sounds crude but it seems to wo...

I've got one of those - got it at the BFCC in ealing a while back for about 50p - works fine on my 155 (haven't used it in a while though....)

Naw its really easy - just remove a bit of plastic from the part of the cartridge which corresponds to the filter notch as per s8boosters pictures - it doesnt have to be accurate to the millimeter - just big enough to make sure the filter sensor button in the film chamber of the camera is not engage...
