old equipment looks cool, that's why. the police around the world probably still use nagras though because that's what was available back in the days when they actually had sufficient funds to operate Wish the police would go digital and sell off all their Nagra SNs... at the moment I cannot afford...

last time (1 month ago..ish) I went in Jessops New Oxford St they had a pile of wein cells... on the counter at the extreme right hand side of shop near disposable cameras etc

Check out http://www.kolumbus.fi/puistot/S8Manual.htm Especially "Standard 8 film has bigger perforation than super 8, and the size of the image is smaller. The sprocket holes of super 8 are positioned adjacent to the center of the film frame, in regular 8 they are in the corner of the frames. ...

I've got a Movexoom 6 and the O with a line through it is a battery test position - a red led lights up on my camera when you turn the switch to this position - it should spring back when you let it go. I thought it marked the film plane too at first! :)

Bolex 155 can.
