does you mean the rs-232 plug/cable that looks like a vga cable with only 2 rows of m or f connector.
I can get you one for a roll of film or a small fee. they are used on some electronics to control it via a computer but few companies do this. its being phased out by cat 5 or 6 cable.

Sound striped 16mm film
Hello
I aquired a kodak pageant 16mm projector which has the option of optical and magnetic playback and magnetic recording on 16mm film. (not fullcoat mag stock.)
was wondering if anyone bothers with 16mm sound stripe film these days.

Re: Carena Variogon Zoomex - Wind handle stuck
I look at a few of mine, alas the meters on those are dead, and it is an intregal part of using the camera, ie. can not turn it manually if its dead. I thought the gear on the bottom was for the ding sound when the camera ran past a certain footage. so on mine I removed the bottom gears and it still...

film transfer with step motor projector.
I just aquired a bell howell 471 projector which has a step motor for fake slow motion (6 fps) and about 2 or 1fps). Running a 400' reel at 1fps would take a long time! was wondering if anyone has transfered film using a slower speed with the video or scanner in sync - better results? or should I ju...

Re: LCD 4" video monitor question
its likely a panasonic camera with the multipin connector which has the power supply. bnc cable attachements and iris controls, somewhat like a lipstick camera. you would need a c mount video lens.
lenses for film cameras dont quite work, due to the focal plane of the c mount glass and the ccd.

Re: Pacfic Film Labs, Super-8 cartridge.
a little inter net search revealed from the super 8 data website it is repackaged agfa chrome film.
there are about 12 rolls for 12 $usd on fleabay now but whether one can process it is questionable, besides, kodak and agfa dont get the money from that sale, so buy new!

kahl film no longer selling to consumers?
Looking at the website of kahl film and tv.
States they are no longer selling to individuals, just businesses, whatever that means, and the minimum is 100 euro.
any experience with kahl on this?

Re: With the price of DS8 Cameras no wonder nobody shoots it
I paid about $200 for a canon ds8 about 8 years ago and have not used it much. Those prices look rather high but its a buyers market on ebay on a lot of items now. the canon ds8 - Very nice camera, very quiet. A motorized zoom would be a better addition to this camera. I recently shot a roll of 100d...

Re: Kodak preparing for Chapter 11 filing
wonder what patents would be worth buying now? If kodak was to offer up kodachrome, it might be cost prohibitive to even make the film let alone the chemistry in which to process it. I could be wrong on that. It would still be nice if someone did buy at least the processing patent and renew the proc...

developing b/w movie film using coffee and vitamin c
found this on make blog. using instant coffee to develop film.
doesnt really say what stock this would apply to, but instant coffee and vitamin c powder was used to develop b/w film.

Re: Huge differences in film prices between US and EU
exchange rate or not it would also factor in the cost of living in europe, which is higher than the US. Would it be cheaper to buy it in estonia or an eastern european country with a low cost of living? There is probably some import tariff on the film as well. Kahl looks affordable in europe but fac...

Home movie day
I was wondering if anyone attended one of the home movie day screenings around the world.
One of the events here is the US had the right intention but it was poorly attended and the film handling was no so great.

Re: What is the best reflex Regular 8mm camera?
erscam camex reflex is one of the best reflex 8mm cameras.
25' double 8mm load, reflex viewing with french guillotine shutter so 100% of the light hits the film, all metal construction, rewind knob, exchangeable lenses (not sure what mount) , easy load with a metal gate and a pressure plate.
