if a new super 8 camera were ever to be produced having usb (oh hell, firewire ) out or even flash card memory slots would be nice for video assist and playback on scenes shot.

the discontinuity actually works here for the gags.
cant imagine breathless without the jump cuts or october as a coherent narrative. I see what you are saying on what not to do as far as 180 degree rule, continity narrative, jump cuts, etc but done right discontinuity works.

i bought the camera specifically to transfer the film. I've reasearched transfering houses and i've had too many bad results over the good transfers. if i'm going to forge over $500 for a transfer, might as well buy a camera to do it and have the camera left over. $500.00 wouldnt even buy 2 hours on...

where did you have the 7244 processed? I had mine done at yale using e-6 chestry because the vnf chemistry which was used to process it had dried up.
results were very faded, although the soundtrack survived.

i'd be shooting off the wall. the projector is a revere 85, which I could modify the lamp, if i have the time. but the housing is metal. for the mod to film the gate, how do you check the light comming out of the projector so it doesnt burn the cameras ccd out?

its 1x8mm so you could buy 100' double 8mm film to slit 2 30' sections with 70 odd feet left over. (try figuring that in processing costs).
i have two of those cameras but only saw 1 reel of unused film (just to get the reel) at an auction, never more than 1 at a time.
