Re: Diy telecine unit
i see. so if you have the idea for something its yours and everything else is a complete knockoff. i get it. really explains why cameras from certain era look alike. it was YOUR design for one of them the the other companies stole that design. no one had ever thought of or wrote about frame capture ...

Re: I have a new business plan!
does your bailout plan on spending more money on an endless ammount of commercials??
how bout they require you to make you make a model that doesnt run on gasoline before you get any of the money.
for killing off the volt, they got what they deserved, a fading industry.

Aquiring Old cameras and films
Hello
I have not seen any cameras, films, or projectors in thrift stores or
Antique shops in a while. Apart from eba$ does anybody have ideas on where to
Aquire these. Has the country's supply run out?

Re: Beaulieu R16 battery/power question...pics
I have a r16 with the dummy handle for a grip but it would be nice to have a and inexpensive battery to thread on the handle. I have tried some adaptors for this camera and for the 5008 but not such luck.

Re: smallformat ends its run
I think if the magazine did a semi anual run that might work, in terms of getting time to get more advertisers and focusing on more 8mm super 8 or 16mm film, not fluff articles. super 8 today seems to have a nice concept but personally i thought something was missing. I know there are quite a few ol...

Re: flicker
Looks like the film was streaked. if tri x isnt processed or handled right, it will streak. for some reason the film is jumping in the gagate ever so slightly. could have been the car or the camera. hard to tell here as is just looks like bad video. the digitizing blockeness makes it worse obviously...

Re: My First Telecine Attempt...
if your are just going to do an off the screen transfer you will have to change the shutter speed on the camcorder. dont know what the pal version would be but in the states it is 1/60. then adjust the fps on the projector. i've found manual mode on a camcorder works better than auto since auto mode...

Re: Legal action for failure to renew smallformat?
could smallformat choose a different postal carrier / courrier. I like the magazine but I get it months after the topics are discussed, usually on this board. i'd renew but am reluctant to do so because of this.
