Re: New full res CITIZENS trailer: 720x450

(Assuming I've picked the reference right) what's the reference to Tout va bien all about?

Nice music.

Re: finally back - yeah!

The other forum has it's worth too but sometimes it seems like Q&A with M & A.
Way less posts and often less interesting and vigorous discussion (bring back Santo), not to mention the sad absence of slot cars over there.

Re: New Demo Reel Coming Soon!

Vimeo is great, the difference between it and Youtube is night and day.
Looking forward to seeing the tests.

Re: Vision 200

Hi, a) The Vision 200T is notched as 160ASA as there's no 200-ASA-notch in the Super8-standard. This causes a 1/3 stop overexposure. But according to Kodak this would even provide better results: http://www.kodak.com/global/en/service/faqs/faq2107.shtml In other words: There's nothing to worry abou...

Re: Canon 814/1014XLS vs Beaulieu and Leicina Special comparison

I only have two super 8 cameras now a Canon 1014 XL-S and a Eumig Nautica both are easy to make nice images with. Neither have the sharpest lenses to be found on a super 8 camera. What I recently discovered was the Bolex H16 Rx far sharper than any S8 camera I've used and I can have 100' processed a...

Re: Tripod Recommendations

I've been using the manfrotto 503 quite a bit lately, it's not bad when combined with the 525mvb legs. It's going to cost you about the same as a Leicina Special or more though and the lock offs on the legs are not as nice as they could be.

A Beaulieu 10mm 1.5x anamorphic lens designed for the 7008 is on ebay now. Seems like there's something wrong with the coatings though.

This is the first time I've ever seen this lens on ebay.

I've been using Energizer brand nimh's which have a mah of 2500.
As the total charged voltage is less (in theory) than a brand new set of alkalines the battery check never goes fully to the right but it stays in the good area for a long long time.

Eumig Nautica O-rings

I just bought a nautica off ebay and will be going to a dive store to get silicon grease for the O-ring, and was thinking about spare o-rings. Is the Nautica a standard size/type that they might have at a dive store or would i be better off buying Eumig specific O-rings off ebay? (anyone used this c...

I don’t mean to veer off the specific topic completely, but what is the technique used when the illusion of driving is created with lights only? Lacking a screen grab, or link, I mean that we see occasional light from what we accept as oncoming cars in the other lane, or cars changing lanes ...

16mm is a "pro" format which won't be available in many shops, look up your local Kodak or Fuji and give them a call, they may even give you a discount.
