Alternatives To Plus-X

What with the possibility of Plus-X being eliminated looming I'm looking for alternatives to 16mm black and white to shoot my animation. I have seen 16mm Orwo sold by Andec. Is there also a source for Ilford in 16mm? Has anyone in the states purchased from Andec before? A 400 foot supply of Orwo for...

Re: Oxberrys Anyone?

I've seen that. It looks to be parts of a motion control system. What I am looking for is an Oxberry Filmmaker or maybe a ThriftFAX stand. Don Bluth is said to have used a FAX stand when he left Disney with his own animation company. You can see what I'm talking about from these blogs: http://inklin...

Oxberrys Anyone?

So I'm concentrating more on traditional 2D cel animation. Though I had to disassemble my Mitchell stand when I moved. I have setup a small animation stand with my Bolex Rex and Meritex motor on a stand that was once a 35mm enlarger base. I have been wanting to get my hands on an Oxberry stand. Now ...

Re: Sorry For The Late Replies

I spent a week in the hospital. The worst part were the nurses coming in once a day to draw blood. Also the food wasn't anything to write home about.

Sorry For The Late Replies

I was in the hospital again, this time with pneumonia. And my Internet access is limited at this time. So if you want to discuss buying some of the movie gear I'm selling it will take some time while I recover.

Re: 400ft-- 100ft Is there a easy way

I did this before breaking down a 400 foot core to 100 foot spools. I mounted a set of rewinds to a board I could carry into my bathroom where I wound the film onto the spools from a split reel. I bought most of my split reels from eBay.

Manuals - Manuals - Manuals

I found a better copy of the manual for the B&H Model 240 16mm camera (for the single lens, twin lens, and triple lens turret models). I'm going to scan this and make it available online for everyone. I also found my cache of camera manuals which I can also scan and upload. Here is a list of reg...

Thanks much!

The link has probably expired. I will have to upload the file again.

Re: Variable Speed 16mm Projector

I have a Kodak Analyst 16mm projector which has a variable speed knob. It also has an instant reverse switch. It was used to study sport films. It only has a 400 foot capacity and is a silent projector.

I got a bunch of Super 8 and Regular 8mm cameras I'm also selling. HI Herb, I thought I remember you mentioning that you had a Bauer Electric S regular 8mm camera in one of your past posts. If you still have that one I would love to buy it from you. Thanks, Marc Sorry if I didn't respond directly t...

Re: Getting Out Of Film

I got a bunch of Super 8 and Regular 8mm cameras I'm also selling. Two Bolex H-8s, a P2 and a S1. Have to go through my list of cameras to find what I have. Much are working cameras. A few are non-working and mostly for their intrinsic value. Some film splicers like Bolex bevel splicers. Anyway, if ...

Getting Out Of Film

Well after my recent illness and radical changes in my life I'm selling all my film gear. I will still do animation but it will be done digitally. So expect some of my 16mm cameras to be offered here. I would rather sell to you members first before going to eBay.

Here is a link to a scan of the manual I uploaded to Mediafire:

When I find the better quality copy I will make a better scan and assemble it into a PDF. This will for now.
