Re: Beaulieu 5008 3008 battery thread

It's 41mm. The thread pitch is harder to measure. It could be 1.25mm or 1.5mm.

Re: Bolex h16 camera rattling squeaky noise

Squeaking noise often comes from the winding handle. Wind the spring fully and remove the winding handle. Run the camera. If the noise is gone, you know it's only the winding handle making the noise. While the handle is removed, put a small drop of oil on the handle axis. Reinstall the handle on the...

Re: Any way to do sync sound?

This is how we used to it in the olden days. You would have to get a Super8Sound Recorder which records on super8 fullcoat and modify the projector by adding a reed switch to it. To edit the film you would need a editing set-up to run the film sound in sync. Just google "Super8Sound" all i...

Re: Source for filters for H8 Rex lenses

Contact Dieter Schaefer at http://www.bolexusa.com/
He sells the proper adapter from your lenses to 49mm.
Then you can use any standard 49mm filter.

Re: Where to find ACL jaeger connectors

I have a brand new one from my stock. They are $70 USD each. Plus postage.
Jaeger connectors are tricky to work with because you have to solder the wires to the pins and then use a special pin inserting tool to assemble them properly.
I also have the chassis side socket. They are $40 USD.

Re: Nizo Pro caught for speeding

The speed control electric contacts might simply be dirty. Try rotating it back and forth between speeds a dozen times and see if that improves speed stability.

Re: Regular 8 Vision 3 50D - First Scan is Back

Results are very promising. Very nice packaging also.
A camera with a sprocket driven mechanism, like a Bolex H8RX, should give better registration.

Re: Video Tap / Video Assist for use with 16mm/SUper 8 Camer

I've made up a few of these over the years. I've always used small C-mount cameras, preferably of the low light variety. Used a lot of KT&C cameras. Depending on the camera's chip size, the lens was usually between 8mm and 12mm. C-mount spacer rings were usually necessary to achieve close focus....

Where does the diagram on the left entitled "super8 before slicing" originate from? Kodak?

Re: Regular 8 Vision 3 50D and 250D

That's good news if EK is more open-minded now.
At the time of my request, nobody but Kodak could do DS8 perfing.
Unperforated rolls should certainly entail lower finishing costs (you would think)....

Good luck with your project,
