The list of chemotherapy side-effects is scary, but hopefully they will be mild for me. I know how you feel. I was diagnosed with a t-cell lymphoma of my spleen and liver 2 weeks ago and started chemo the following week. I'm in hospital at the moment with a laptop abusing their wireless internet :P...

However if your BIOS is out of date there could possibly be an issue with large files...depending on the age of your PC. That's a point. With my 200gig Western Digital drive i needed to run a few utilities which I had to download from their site (nice to tell me they were needed for the drive to fu...

Below where it says NTFS is selected (it doesn't allow a choice for this infact) it has "allocation unit size" and then "Default unit size is chosen" That shouldn't really matter as it's the file system that dictates the file size. If it's NTFS then it can handle files over 4gig...

You don't. You reformat to NTFS for starters. If you are using XP or Win2K then just right click on the drive icon in my computer, desktop or where ever, hit format and select NTFS for the file system and click start. That's all there is to it. edit : you only beat me to it because I needed to go to...

I've recorded a lot of shows on MD that were also recorded on laptops, the laptop recordings were always inferior. All that proves is that the A/D conversion, preamp quality etc was inferior in the specific laptops you used when compared to the minidisk you used. I'm sure some minidisk recorders wo...

but that's just my taste or way of wanting to tell the story... /matt But you don't know what the story is or what the scene is about or trying to convey, so can't really comment on what would be suitable framing for it. I guess it comes down to taste in a way but also what composition best fits th...

Ahh Mjød, now we're talking.

"Kvasir, hvis skalders far han var,
Ble tatt av dage av dvergehender
Av Kvasirs blod lagde de skaldemjøden,
den hellige drikk..."

Vis blir den som drikker av mjøden!

I agree. I really like the new Tri-X aswell and I'm glad it's so readily available here. I guess my problem is that while Tri-X is definately a nice stock it's not suited to all projects nor may it have the desired look one may be after. I mean, would it really be that costly for Kodak to offer the ...

Do the entrants in these festivals limit themselves to 64T? They are (were) fairly limited to tri-x and k40. I have never seen a super-8 short shot here that wasn't one of these two stocks (other than the old Ektachrome). The reason for this is obvious, both stocks are/were readily available with e...

A Question for Kodak (or anyone who wishes to fill me in)

What the hell is going on with Kodak Australia? I remember calling them about the Vision2 stocks when they were made available and was told the reason they weren't going to offer them in this country was due to the fact there isn't anyone here who can process it. Yet now that K40 is no more they are...

Hey, don't be forgetting the giant italian horror/b-movie actor of the same name. George Eastman (birth name Luigi Montefiori), Italian B-movie actor and screenwriter, was born in Genoa, Italy, in 1942. Montefiori took his Americanized alias "George Eastman" when he was cast as a "hea...

No worries and indeed, it is a very good camera. I've owed the 814AE, 814XL-S and the one you have. The 814XL-S is the only one I have kept because I like the layout of the controls and how fast and easy it is to operate but I admit, the footage I took with the 814E were of the same high standard as...
