I'm using the Sony TRV900. It's a 3-chip with a 12x zoom. Where I had the camera set, I wasn't zoomed in all the way (maybe 11X?) but my focus was set all the way to minimum. Seems like there should be a camera out there that would allow you to focus closer so that one would have a greater depth of ...

No Problem. It just dawned on me now that I forgot to apply any pulldown to the clips that I posted! 'doh. I will have to repost at some point.

I assume these frames are from very old 16mm films? They seemed to have a vintage look about them, particularly frame 2. Thanks Patrick. You are correct. I have a project going for a client with 1950's vintage stock. These were some frames from the first reel. He is really into railroads BIG TIME, ...

I posted a couple of samples. I'd love to see how it compares to what Stephen was able to do with his 16. Any tips are most certainly welcome...

Workprinter16 Samples!

Okay, here are some results that I got for my first time using the Workprinter16. Since my box is on a DSL connection, I would recommend saving the target to your hard drive. I'm not really set up to stream. I've also included two stills as well. These are un-edited clips. No color/contrast correcti...

Thanks Roger. I'm still hazy on the "interpolated frame padding" check box in Dodcap. I understand what it does, but what I don't understand is that if you use Batch Process as an option, it automatically applies the frame padding whether you want it or not? Is there a way to turn that off...

DODCAP - Interpolated padded frames

I see that there is something called "interpolated padded frames" with DODCAP that only becomes an option when I pick a CODEC other than the 'default capture card" CODEC. My project needs to product a file for BOTH television, DVD and web. Would it be recommended that I produce two se...

Hmm. I don't know why all you get is black... As a PC user at home, and a MAC user at work, I thought it was a really funny jab at the MAC, although both OS's have their own problems as we all know. Anyhow, you can't just hear the clip, part of what makes it so funny is this guy's body language. The...

<snip>I think one of the smartest things you can do to save money is buy a used 700 line broadcast camera off ebay and use a Canopus convertor or NLE system with a built in analog board for your captures. Used 3 chip analog cameras are cheap, cheap, cheap and offer terrific pictures. Roger Roger, w...

I see that the 10D also has a max burst rate of 3fps, 9 images. Do you suppose it would work as well?

I'm using the Sony TRV900 3 chip camera. It has manual white balance and a 12X zoom. What I like about it is the ability to shoot slower than 1/60sec. In fact, it goes down to 1/4 sec shutter speeds. Even though I have both an 8 and 16 workprinter, it allows for flicker removal if you were ever to t...
