- Topic: Anyone using a WorkPrinter with a Sony TRV950?

I have the TRV-900 that I use with the Workprinter. It works great for everything! If I were to pinpoint a weakness, I would say that the 12X zoom could be a bit more powerful, but only for Reg8mm films since the camera needs to sit closer to the Workprinter for that format. This also means that the...

I just go an e-mail from 'eBay' titled 'Security Test'. It has a link in it that sends you to http://asabina.webhostingpal.com/index.php which is definately NOT eBay. I unwittingly clicked on the link, but never entered any information at which point, my browser closed down almost instantaneously. I...

Hi Roger, To my knowledge, it hasn't been modified, so it's the real deal. I just wanted to make sure that the TRV unit isn't better for transferring audio... BTW, what did you say the speed adjustment in Premiere is to restore perfect sync? 99.5%? Does that hold true for both optical/magnetic audio...

Thanks Roger. I purchased an Elmo http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... :B:BN:US:1 last August. I wonder how the Audio quality would compare between it and the TRV-16?
Thanks

No. Not all Minidiscs have the record to mic functionality. Check out http://www.minidisc.org/ for great info. I own a Sony MZ-R700 and LOVE it. I went to RadioShack and got their stereo Tie Clip mic for it. Works really well. Good Luck! Dave P.S. http://www.minidisco.com/ is a good resource for pri...

Right shutter speed for telcine?
I just acquired an Elmo 16-F(tc) with a 5-blade shutter. I was wondering what the appropriate DV shutter speed would be for a flicker free transfer (NTSC). There doesn't seem to be any speed control on it. Would 1/60 work?
Thanks

Just do a search on it in these forums and you'll find all kind of info. I personally use either RenovexII or Edwal film cleaner. Both are fast drying and lubricate as well. I have a long 5' board that my rewinders are mounted on and use a cotton cloth to move the film through. Some folks like isopr...

Hi All, Here is another sample from the Workprinter16. Check out the very weird reflection of the telephone poles in the first scene. They seem to shine right through the train car! Now, either he was shooting through glass (which wouldn't really explain it), or off of a very reflective surface (doe...

Stephen. Nice work indeed! I have a couple of questions: When you do your stills, are you grabbing 'frames' or 'fields'? I'm noticing some interlacing. Just curious. Also, are those images as-is, or did you do some tweaking? One thing that concerns me is that I think my shots may be softer than they...
