I didnt think this short film told me anything. It was long and boring, and no it didnt make me feel sick to my stomach (presuming that was the point). There was no lesson and no real conclusion. An empty documentury.

When people ask me why I shoot on ancient equipment, I always answer ''Because its expensive and I love it'' But seriously though, its the subculture part of it (as mattias put it) that makes it cool. Most of us shoot on film because we want to stick out, infact we're probably all insane not using ...

Ah, thanks...after searching for "a wind" "b wind" I found this thread which pointed to this page on Kodak's site with clear illustration and explanation... Still, unless I do it myself, I don't really get it. I'll try it with some 8mm KII spools and cans Gianni If Im not mistak...

Ive respooled A-wind to B-wind 16mm film. I did this in a window free bathroom in the middle of the night to make sure no light would ruin the film. The only tools I used were a couple of pencils and some tape and it worked out fine. Basically its only time consuming and frustrating but once you get...

Now the two resemble each other, film and our grainy pe...

I was a bit tired when I wrote that yesterday so Ill clear things out now. Youre right Mattias, grain does not actuallyexist in reality. However eyes have limitations, and to me what I see is reality (even though what we see can easily be fooled) and this reality seems to be comprimised due to the l...
