Filmshooting

I've shot six carts of Velvia 50D and plan on shooting more. It is absolutely beautiful. Blows away K40 and 64T. I mean BLOWS them away. Properly exposed, this stuff can look like 16mm.

I'm interested in a SD uncompressed to HDD for my short film but don't know if my 800 mghz G4 imac can handle it. The folks at Spectra want to talk me out of it--they say miniDV is good enough, but I disagree.

I have the AT897 and have been using it for a year. It's a good mic, particularly for outdoors/location sound. I personally don't like using it indoor because the sound doesn't come off very natural--at least to my ears. But it's a good all-round mic.
