Re: IJM INCORPORATED
"Why won't you retract what you originated? Simply say the check was lost. It was a misunderstanding. Is that so dificult? Lets remain friends!" Irv Hey, Irv is it so difficult for you to admit you're a fraud and return my $85? Irv can't be trusted. I strongly recommend that no one ever d...

Re: california
i was only an asshole to you because you deserved it, and since it doesn't seem like you've changed why would i want to crash on your couch? i'm staying with friends in echo park, i guess that makes us neighbors so watch out. Ha! You're still an asshole. But now that I know where you're staying and...

Re: california
mattias, Well, if you hadn't bad-mouthed me on this forum and been such an asshole to me way back, I would've invited you over––maybe even allowed you to crash on my couch given that I live in Glendale and am centrally located to all the great parts of LA and SF Valley. You're loss bud...

Re: Ideas for filmmaking...awesome really...
I've seen this artist's work before. Frankly, I don't get it. Seems like a lot of wasted time and energy to express nothing. I mean, what's the point? Perhaps if he had something real to say thru all that hard work, some message, point, or social commentary I'd be more impressed.

Re: New S8 camera
Hi folks. Much trouble with old S8 cameras. Much film has been wasted due to failure and malfunctions. Lightmeter, film transport, focusing, you name it. Is there manufactured new cameras? It might be worth it to get one or two of your cameras serviced. But if you really want a "new" came...

Sounds like you're getting divorced. I'll make you an offer. How about $1.

Re: The 8 mm most watched movie in the world
It's probably the most famous 8mm footage ever shot although the framing is atrocious. I read that Zapruder sold the rights to that reel for $50,000 and donated all the money to some charity. I'm convinced there was a conspiracy in the JFK assassination but don't quite understand why the conspirator...

Re: holiday footage
Adam, The uncompressed footage looks great. I had them transfer to miniDV. You can check out their website for other info regarding the equipment they use: spectrafilmandvideo.com. I've never really compared prices with Pro8 but from what I hear, Spectra is cheaper and their work is top quality. I'm...

Re: holiday footage
Seth, Spectra did processing and transfer. I was very happy with their work. They don't have an order minimum. I think I shot three rolls. Harry, Hi. Thanks. Lately, I've been shooting with a Canon 518SV. It's compact, has nice weight, clean lens and easy to whip out and shoot. However, I recently a...

Seth,
Hi. Thanks. It's Kodak 200 Negative Tungsten. I guess I should've said 200T.

Re: Irving Higdon
I'm making a long story short, and writing in haste. I saw Irv Higdon last week. He charged me $37.89 to replace a broken belt on my Elmo K-100 Projector, plus 98.00 to clean, lube, set transport threading assembly properly, alignment, calibrating, etc. He told me he does all of his own work. I bro...

Adjusting the diopter on Bolex P1
Hello. Is there any trick to adjusting the diopter on a Bolex P1 Zoom Reflex? I'm assuming I keep the lens at infinity, lens wide open, and adjust according to my eye sight. Right? Thanks in advance for any advice.
