Music...

This is a really entertaining thread to read. I love almost everyone one of the artists mentioned here and I'm 29 years young. I LOOOVe the Beatles,Zappa, Lou Reed, Bowie and Beefheart as well as AC/DC and Zepplin's stuff too. Maybe it's because this is how I learned to play music by absorbing every...

Maddin

Here's some info on the film from a website called offscreen Maddin's inimitable style, alienating to some, surreally engaging to others, is marked most strongly by a self-conscious form of historical anachronism. Maddin prefers to employ low-tech, in-camera effects (lenses that are greased or silk ...

Brakhage

If I recall correctly, He states in the Criterion dvd that he used dyes made from coal tar. This material was the cause of his kidney cancer which unfortunately led to his early death, so obviously stay away from that stuff. I'm not sure what types of materials you can use but try this guy. He may b...

I'm self taught and still learning. I think it can go either way though. It really depends on what type of person you are. I bothers me when people say "Screw film school!" because one can always learn from many different sources.

I liked Lords of Dogtown. I skated for a decade and I thought it captured the experience of riding really well. As far as Female directors who are good right now I'd have to say Lynne Ramsay is my choice. She hasn't done to much but I like her so far.

feedback

I think that buying from a seller who not only has positive feedback but also a good write up about the item is the best way to bid. I look for someone who knows what they are selling, cares about what they are selling and posts good quality pics. When buying a camera for instance, I would prefer to...

Shooting

Do you have any smaller Airfields you could shoot? I live fairly close to a private airfield and I can get some pretty decent shots of planes throughout most of the day. I stand in the parking lot of a bookstore and wait. Of course they won't be Boeings but they get the job done.
Good luck.

Thanks for the info guys, To answer your question Tim, the battery compartment is on the handle but I don't know if it's the same as the 620. As far as the image quality I haven't used the camera in a really long time. I had borrowed it when I was a kid to make a short film and I have just found it ...
