Don't forget Eumig cameras. It amazes me that everyone touts Eumig super 8 projectors, but never really talk about their superb cameras. The later models have great multicoated optics. They can be bought on EBAY for great prices.

I have a Scoopic MS and it fits perfectly. I'm not sure about the grey Scoopic.

I made a battery case by using an 8 aa battery holder, and gluing a 2 aa battery holder to the back of it. Then I wired the two packs togetter. I use rechargable 1.2 volt 2500 mah batteries (the original scoopic battery is only 800 mah, i believe). This pack lasts about 4 times as long as the origin...

If you pick up the film at Kodak Burbank and pay with cash you get an extra 2% discount. Imagine, I pay $12.63 for a 100 ft. roll of wonderful 16mm Plus X negative for my Scoopic MS. It's great to live an hour away from Hollywood! It's sick how many movie film developing labs are around here. RGB la...

Ektachrome 64t

Has anyone actually gotten any developed through Wallmart yet? One of my justifications for shooting super 8 Kodachrome was the ease of dropping it off at Wallmart and paying $4.88 a roll for developing. I've never had a problem in my 20+ rolls.

To me, the difference is that the first image is so sharp that it shows the grain of the film. This seems to introduce a darkness and contrast to the color, as if taking a picture and adding a bunch of black dots to it, kind of like a news paper print. Can you make your attempts any sharper?

The Dead Nextdoor

Any body seen this movie? I just bought the DVD at Tower Records. It was shot on super 8 in the 70's with Chinon cameras. The picture is rock steady. I didn't see any jitter at all in the whole movie. It looks to me like 16mm. Great stuff. Also great behind the scenes footage of the cameras and inte...

I paid a buck for one of these at a thrift shop. If I could shit out a hunk of plastic, it would look like this! This is the cheapest camera I have ever held, worse than a Chinese mass produced toy. It's all cheap plastic, even the lens is plastic. Not even good strong plastic. No manual adjustments...

Justin,

In the fourth stage of making those tri-colored candy corns, what is the secret ingredient that is added to the mix to keep the colors from running and bleeding together?

Why do they call them "candy corn" instead of "tri-colored cone shaped waxy nodules"?
