16mm camera question?

I know I'm moving format topics here, but if anyone knows, I'm thinking about buying a fairly inexpensive 16mm and I came across several cameras by the name of "Grasnogork" or something like that. Are these Russian cameras any good?

Thanks, Simon.

I have a Bauer Royal 10E and the remote for it is a standard single micro plug. Infact, I believe that you can use any remote switch fitted with a micro jack.

I just got a bauer royal 10E from ebay, with a timed exposure mechanism. Maybe this would look pretty cool with fireworks on regular color film.

I am pleased to state that Kodak Canada has admitted to the jitter problem and is exchanging the 20 cartridges of super 8 film I purchased plus three free cartridges for my troubles. The corporate system can actually work sometimes to the benefit of the consumer.

Expiry Date?

I have purchased alot of super 8 stock from Kodak Canada. I notice the jitter problem in quite a few cases and wish to try and return the unused rolls for ones with a new expiry date. However, the current rolls I have don't seem to have an expiry date printed on them, just a sequence of numbers(7 di...

Nizo wide lens attachments!

I'm looking to buy a wide angle attachment for my Nizo S56 camera; however, I don't know what diameter in mm my lens thread is, and therefore don't know what attachment to look for. Do Nizo's generally have a set standard of thread for all there cameras. I've looked in my manual and it doesn't give ...

Hi Chris, Depending how much you paid for it and what it's worth to you, you might want to try and repair it yourself. I bought a busted Nizo off of ebay, and I managed to very very very carefully take it apart and fix 2 problems with it. It also depends on how good you are working on small mechanic...

My boxed super 8 cartridges(7240) don't appear to have any expiry date printed on them, just a series of numeric digits that don't even come close to resembling a date.

The closest thing that I have seen to a steady-cam mount for a super 8 is currently on ebay and is suited for a Nizo super 8.

Hope I could help,

Because of what is stated in the above messages, I'm assuming that freezing film doesn't damage the film at all, even if it is thawed and refrozen?

My suggestion for filming this time-lapse piece is: 1. Make sure that your super 8 is mounted on a very sturdy tripod. If you have to, put something heavy like a sandbag on the bottom crossarms of the tripod to keep weight on it(if outdoors, strong wind could move it or even blow it over. 2. When sw...

It was tricky, but last night I very carefully removed the cover plates and unscrewed the housing of the camera and reattached the mirror to the place in the camera were it belongs and the viewfinder is back to normal. Since these cameras are so complicated internally, I accidentally did something t...

I have a Bell and Howell Autoload projector(NO SOUND). There is no manual to prove this, but I'm almost possitive that it run at 24FPS.

Because of this wide spread jitter problem, is Kodak willing to refund money or replace cartridges because of their defective nature? And if so, how are they to deal with refunding or replacing on film that has already been exposed and/or developed?
