Hello Raimo;
I am a fellow Canadian and super 8 filmmaker. I get all of my transfers and super 8 processing done professionally here in Toronto at Exclusive Film & Video. They are the cheapest and most reliable in the city.

Hi Basstruc;
No I am not French. Could you sent me the link to this French auction site where you saw my Avatar. I created it myself from super 8 footage that I shot. The only place they could have gotten it from would be this site or ebay.
Thanks, Simon.

Hey Jonas;
The exact same thing happened to me when I bought a Nizo S80 from ebay last summer. Check out this forum thread regarding it.

However, I like to ask - and only this time and merely once - what do you Andreas think, if we can still have left an option to use somewhere some short 24 fps shots, as a contrast to the main impression of time lapse? Perhaps points where to breathe shortly :-) I mean, I wouldn't like to deny usin...

I am for one original film, even if some or most of my own footage is not included. I also agree that some people should be able to freely edit with all the raw footage if they choose. We need to select or vote for a candidate for the editors position.

In a previous poll posted by Andreas, I believe a majority of members did the telecine transfer themselves via camcorder onto miniDV. After the filming date of May 17th, I feel that all participants should send their processed reels to the editor. For a small extra fee, the assembled reels could be ...

Hey Andreas; I thought it might be a good idea to get the members on this site to vote on certain ideas. Nothing would have to be definite, but it would be a good way to find out the overall consensus of the members viewpoint. It could be set up similar to one of your polls, were people could vote o...

You can count me in assuming the rules aren't too far-fetched. I agree with some of the others in regards to when we film. I feel from 12:01am to 11:59pm is the best way to go. In my opinion, one should have the option to expose their cartridge via numerous shots other the duration of the entire day...

Filters!

Does anyone know of any worthy sites that have a good description of many different types of filters and what they are primarily used for?
Thanks, Simon. :idea:

Hey Eric; I get all my footage professionally transfered to Beta SP and I have 2 ways of getting it on to my home computer. 1. Since I work as a non-linear editor using a professional Avid system, I can bring my SCSI harddrive to a posthouse, digitize my footage from the Avid onto my SCSI drive. Bri...

the exposures seem fantastic, nice job. did you use the internal light meter? I don't actually own a hand held light meter. I probably should. I did use the Scoopics built in meter and I do find it to be very acurate. I did the transfer DIY style with a Canon XL1s, but I will be having all my 16mm ...
