my 1014xls is on my list, now that i've gotten it repaired ($200cdn later...)

but I would really miss having my nizo 800 for the variable shutter option in conjunction with timelapse shooting.

I hear that the bauer royal is great for generating properly exposed timelapse shots...

best of my knowledge, all film is being redirected to switzerland for processing through the k40 mailer. If you got it in a lil white box, it was most likely processed at dwayne's (previously directed there by kodak, since stopped because of poor quality control). All black plastic packaging is from...

best of my knowledge from being in the wedding industry...

..if it is for private use, you do not have to aquire rights for the music.

no one in the _wedding_ industry gets right to music, i can gaurantee you that, and no one gets in any trouble (to the best of my knowledge).

well... I'm still trying to do tests to see if it is worth using the "360" degree shutter technique (geez that sounds lame)... Thus far I have found it to have a very practical use when shooting at frames rates closer to 6fps at night. Holding the shutter open allows for more light to hit ...

shooting with a 360 deg shutter does work. depending upon the frame rate that you are shooting at and the length of the exposure, you will or WILL NOT notice the blur from the frame being pulled through by the pull down claw.

huh

i don't think i would want to try shooting with a 360 deg. shutter at 54fps, it's probably not a safe bet... should be alright at 18 and 24 though. so, if you are using your intervalometer and you have your camera set at 18 fps, is your shutter speed going to equal to 18fps (1/36), regardless of the...

i understand what the original topic writer was saying.. i wasn't sure whether to trust the lens and assume that it was correct when zooming out and the split image viewfinder goes 'out of focus'. i think the best bet is to focus your camera at the zoom lens mm you are set at. Just ignore the 'crash...

nizo 800

hey, the nizo s800 does 6fps (with the intervalometer, as rick was saying). If you want to get more exposure out of it and get a smoother motion, i'd recommend shooting at 6fps, with the shutter help open. This will give you approximately 3 1/4 stops extra exposure. (assuming the original shutter an...

color

the color tones that drove the film.. was that a result of using the K40 stock with your pola filter, or did you do some color correction in discreet? i know that the color correction tools in the discreet software are very good, but was just curious how much manipulation you did to give it that cro...

would you happen to have schematics of the 1014's lubrication points? or any information about servicing the camera?

would much prefer to do the repairs myself.

Just found out it will cost over $200 to have it serviced.

hmm

took a look at it. not too impressed. Camera moves are nice, use of slo-mo when exiting the building was nice. the cuts worked ..... i mean overall there it was fine, but .. (giving my opinion) I didn't see anything that stood out to me as being really cool. The dolly shots were well used, and paced...
